New Encounter Church in Bogotá
BOGOTÁ, Colombia – In May, the
Confraternidad Church in Bogotá, Colombia launched
their second daughter church in the west-central
sector of Bogotá known as Salitre. The new church is
led by a ministry team comprised of two pastoral
couples from Confraternidad and one missionary
couple. 230 members of the mother church were hived
off to form the new daughter church. Though limited
in space for children’s programs, the Salitre
congregation presently meets in a rented facility
with a capacity for 1,000 people. In addition to the
230 members and pastoral team, Confraternidad has
committed to fund 70% of Salitre’s budget for its
first year.
