Quito Church Obtains Missing Piece

Cumbaya Church Property

The future home of the Cumbayá Church in Quito, Ecuador. The property rests steps away from the heart of the Cumbayá suburb on a mountainside location visible to the entire valley of more than 250,000 people..

QUITO, Ecuador – Shortly after its founding in 1999, the Cumbayá Church in Quito, Ecuador purchased a prime piece of property in a growing sector of Quito. Though the property was well-located, the rapid growth of the Cumbayá Church from only 120 to nearly 500 in just 2 years, quickly made it evident that the property was too small to accommodate the growing congregation. With encouragement from CMI, Cumbayá began praying for the ability and opportunity to purchase a larger piece of property adjoining the one they already owned. In June, the Lord miraculously provided. The adjoining property was offered for sale and the owner graciously agreed to allow the church to pay for it in three equal payments dispersed over the period of one year. With resources in hand and with additional help from CMI, the church has covered a sizeable portion of the purchase price. However, Cumbayá and CMI are trusting by faith for the remaining $180,000 needed to complete the purchase.

The new church property is strategically located just off the main thoroughfare through Cumbayá and is only steps away from the commercial heart of the suburb. The mountainside location is visible throughout the entire valley of 250,000 people.
