Youth Encounter Reaches Teens
QUITO, Ecuador. The Cumbayá Church
in Quito, Ecuador continues to find great success in
utilizing the Youth Encounter program first
developed by a sister Encounter Church in Santiago,
Chile. A recent weekend retreat held April 30-May 1
drew 100 students. Students pay 25 cents to attend
and the young people from the church raise money to
help cover the remaining costs. During a special
dinner an invitation to trust in Christ is given and
many young people respond at each retreat.
